This is an alert to all the Otakus out there who frequent the American Entertainment Company, Funimation! This online platform will temporarily be down for the next two hours.
Funimation posted on their official Twitter account that their scheduled maintenance will begin today.
This announcement did not include when the maintenance will be over.
Though they have not reported what the maintenance is for, many claimed that the website has been lagging frequently since last year.
It has also been reported that while viewing, the video tends to skip or freeze frequently much to the dismay of its users.
Sources also claim that the scheduled maintenance may have also been called for after Sony announced that it is set to acquire American Streaming and Distribution Company, Crunchyroll.
Crunchyroll and Funimation would be partnering to make a new mega-service for its combined viewers. In order to achieve this, they might be laying the groundwork for blending the services.
Hence, the users are expecting a major revamp from them!
