Funimation Premieres Yashahime: Princess Half Demon This Fall

Inuyasha is one of the classics of the anime world. It debuted in 2000 and still manages to steal the hearts of anime enthusiasts. Twenty years after its debut, Yashahime, the sequel to Inuyasha, will be released.

Towa, Setsuna, and Moroha are the protagonists of the story. We are indeed delighted to get this ensemble of protagonists.

What excites us more is that Kagome and Inuyasha’s daughter, Moroha, will also be present in the series.

Funimation recently announced that it will stream Yashahime: Princess Half Demon starting 3rd October. The anime will be a part of Funimation’s fall anime lineup 2020.

The official website of Viz Media also announced that Yashahime will premiere on Crunchyroll and HULU. The simulcast will start on the exact day as the anime’s release in Japan, i.e., on 3rd October.

Yashahime will be streamed with English subtitles, and the dubbed version will be available “shortly after.”

Funimation has also announced that it will add Inuyasha to its catalog. The first 54 episodes of Inuyasha will be available on Funimation starting 29th September.

Inuyasha’s four movies will also be available on Funimation on the same day as the anime:

  • Inuyasha the Movie: Affections Touching Across Time
  • Inuyasha the Movie 2: The Castle Beyond the Looking Glass
  • Inuyasha the Movie 3: Swords of an Honorable Ruler
  • Inuyasha the Movie 4: Fire On the Mystic Island

Since Inuyasha is an all-time popular anime, it is not surprising to see streaming websites competing to take hold of its sequel series.

It is a good opportunity for fans to brush up on their Inuyasha knowledge before Yashahime: Princess Half Demon starts airing.

We are also excited to know about Moroha, the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome. What secrets will her past reveal?
