1. Episode 7 Preview & Speculation
Episode 6 really hit hard right after Mother’s Day. I look forward to Tohru confessing her feeling to Kyo in the next Episode as she already atleast acknowledged them.
At the end of Episode 6, it was a huge reveal to what Tohru’s mom said to Kyo. What could’ve possibly happened between them? This week is surely going to be long as next week, it will be revealed how he is connected to her death.
I’ve started to think that Tohru’s father is Sohma. I mean, somehow, her tale is mixed with Yuki’s and Kyo’s, even before she knew them properly.
2. Episode 7 Release Date
Episode 7 of the Fruits Basket (2021) anime, titled “That’s Right, It’s Empty”, has been released on Tuesday, May 18, 2021.

At Shigure’s house, ed, Hatsuharu, and Yuki start talking about Isuzu when he is out with Tohru. Shigure asks them about the place where Isuzu was locked up.
To which Hatsuharu replies that it’s The Cat’s Room. On hearing this, Shigure reveals that the same cage will hold Kyo soon.
In the main estate, Shigure meets Isuzu, and they talk about breaking the curse. At the same time, Tohru arrives and asks when the curse will break. She also worries about Kyo.
Shigure says that Kyo will be kept locked, and she cannot do anything about that. On hearing this, Tohru starts sobbing and runs from the place.
Kyo sees Tohru crying and asks for the reason. To this, she says that she is lost and she doesn’t know what to do. Kyo puts his hand on her head and asks not to do anything for now and wait for the right time.
Kyo meets Tohru’s grandfather on his way to her mother’s grave. Her grandfather addresses Tohru as Kyoko, which was her mother’s name, so Kyo asks why. He replies that he wants to keep Kyoko alive even after her death so that Tohru will not feel lonely.
Tohru meets Kagura at Kyo’s master’s house in the estate, who is pretty angry about seeing her because both of them love Kyo. Tohru goes to Isuzu’s room and apologizes for the other day. Isuzu asks her why she loves Kyo.
To which, Tohru replies that she does not know her feelings. She just knows that Kyo has taken her mother’s spot, and she doesn’t want Kyo to be taken away from her by any curse or Sohma’s or anyone.
The same evening, Kyo and Tohru comes back to Shigure’s house. They talk about Tohru’s father and gives the picture of her father to Kyo to see. But he sees the cap on the table and seems scared. Suddenly, he remembers Tohru’s mom saying, ‘I would not forgive you.’
