Yuki was about to confess his feelings to Machi just when other members enter the room. Yuki, Hatsuharu, Tohru, and Momiji meet at Shigure’s house, joined by Shigure later.

Akito cried to Momiji as she saw a bizarre dream about her past, to which Momiji calmed her down.

Momiji seemed gloomy the following day at school. Momiji’s curse finally broke, but he was sad because he has feelings for Tohru, and he knew Tohru liked Kyo.

Episode 5 was such an emotional rollercoaster one. I really hope Yuki will confess his feelings to Machi, as he was interrupted by other members in this episode.

On the other hand, Momiji is unhappy even after his curse broke because he likes Tohru, but Tohru likes Kyo. Poor boy! I feel sad for him, but he has to accept fate.

However, it’s still unclear why Momiji comments harshly about his friendship with Akito. In the upcoming episodes, we hope to get an answer.

2. Episode 6 Release Date

Episode 6 of the Fruits Basket anime, titled “It Was So Foolish”, has been released on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

Since this anime runs on a weekly schedule, new episode releases are seven days apart.

Meanwhile, in the student council room, Yuki and Machi are alone. Yuki holds Machi’s hands and wants to say something to her, when suddenly, other members enter the room.

Later in Shigure’s house, when Shigure was leaving, Hiro and Kisa are joined by Kyo who comes in after some time. Kisa thinks Kyo is a good person because Kyo behaves well with Tohru.

In the estate, Kureno asks Shigure to be kind to Akito. But Shigure says that he is not a nice person. Yuki, Hatsuharu, Tohru, and Momiji arrive at Shigure’s house. Momiji asks for a barbecue for dinner. But Yuki says that they should go with curry. Just when they start to make curry, Shigure enters.

Akito dreams about her past while sleeping. She wakes up and rushes to Momiji. Akito cries in front of him as Momiji looks at her with pity. Akito then heads home after being asked by Momiji.

The following day at school, everyone is worried about Momiji. Kyo goes to the roof of the school and sees Momiji standing alone. It seems like Momiji’s curse has broken. But he is unhappy because he has feelings for Tohru, and he knows Tohru will be happier if Kyo’s curse will break.

Momiji meets Akito that his curse has broken and he is now free. But Momiji is sad at the same time as his friendship will not be the same. He is free and ready to take his first step, and after saying this he leaves Akito’s room. And the episode ends here.
