With the fate of the world riding on a video game, as fans contemplate the possibility of “Mintendo Switch,” we bring the updates on the next chapter of Fire Force.
1. Chapter 259 Raw Scans and Leaks
Raw Scans for Chapter 259 of Fire Force “My Friend” have been leaked online.
After defeating the pseudodragon, Arthur and Vulcan progress further in the game. In the later stage, Arthur has come face to face with his friend, and now he has to defeat him in order to move ahead.
A similar situation arises in the real world as Karim and Captain Li come face to face with Rekka’s doppelganger.
Due to the memories of his friendship with Rekka, Karim is unable to resist his attacks, as he still believes Rekka will come back to his senses, like he remembered him to be.
Both Karim and Arthur will have to make a tough decision in the face of this dilemma.

3. Chapter 258 Recap
While the battle of despair commences throughout Tokyo, the Knight King heads toward the Promised Land, the Shrine of Awakening (Special Fire Cathedral 8), in order to overcome the trial and become the man worthy of the true Excalibur.
Inside, Arthur and Vulcan enter the realm of good and evil, Shinra and Arthur’s room. When reminded of Shinra, Arthur assures Vulcan that wherever Shinra is right now, he will endure and come back safely.
Arthur quickly does the preparations for the trial and, with an earnest look on his face, asks Vulcan to lend his wisdom to help him complete what lays undone; complete the “Dragon Question” game on Super Mintendo.
Dumbfounded, Vulcan questions the seriousness of Arthur and asks, “The fate of the world is riding on a video game…?” Nevertheless, Arthur starts playing and dies from just a pseudodragon.
Vulcan rectifies the situation and suggests Arthur to use special abilities like magic or buff.
Meanwhile, Pan faces the ‘pseudo’ Captain Hugue (his doppelganger) and uses “Buff Stacking” to fourfold his “Berserk.”
Although the distorted memory of Captain Hugue manages to hurt Pan’s shoulders with his axe, Pan smashes through his stomach with “Rending Multistacked Drill,” splitting the doppelganger’s body in half.
Taking the advice from Vulcan, Arthur also defeats the boss with his bluff. The fake gets defeated in both the game and the reality, and now they can move forward. But the trial to save the world is not over yet.
4. Where to Read Fire Force
Fire Force is a very popular series and well-received even outside Japan. Despite being so popular, Fire Force remains a Japanese-only manga, and no official release with English translations is available.

An anime television series adaptation by David Production aired from July to December 2019 on the Super Animeism block. The second season of the Fire Force anime television series is also animated by David Production.
Tatsumi Minakawa replaced Yuki Yase to be the director of the series. The series premiered on July 3, 2020.
