Spider-Man Exhibit Includes Practical Effects Used in Far From Home’s Credits

The MCU’s Spider-Man, brought to us by Marvel and Sony, has found a new home as an exhibit at the San Diego Comic-Con Museum, and the first look displays practical pieces used in the effects in Far From Home’s end credits.

The effects created by Perception for the second film in the MCU Spider-Man trilogy are featured in an exhibit along with famous props and rare comics. Spider-Man has beaten Superman to the honorable inclusion in one of the most extensive exhibits of the fictional world, the Hall of Fame.

July 2022 brings the fans the Beyond Amazing exhibition’s opening at the SDCC Museum. The Comic-Con Museum, located in Balboa Park, San Francisco, California, is home to the annual convention held by bigshot production companies like Marvel Studios.

The Beyond Amazing Exhibit’s Spider-Man addition, co-curated by Professor Ben Saunders and Patrick A. Reed, will be open to the public from the 20th of July. The exhibit boasts a stunning collection of props used in the Spider-Man films over the years and even has some rare comics on display.

Some of the precious Marvel comics that birthed the MCU and Sony Spider-Men are on display, including Amazing Spider-Man #1 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The exhibit also includes multiple Spider-Man costumes donned by Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland.

Beyond Amazing also features the practical elements of the final title sequence in Spider-Man: Far From Home credits. The title sequence, like many others used in other Marvel films, was developed by Perception, and this unique take on the depiction of the title sequence using stop-motion and not digital display has put a bolder take on the piece.

The Jester Mask we see Tom Holland’s Peter Parker wear to fight the Elementals and help Mysterio while protecting his identity has been painted over to look like the Spider-Man mask and is a part of the exhibit.

Apart from the renewed jester mask, the comics, costumes, and title sequence, the exhibit also features various newspaper clippings and drawings referencing Far From Home, including the yellow school bus toy used in the credits.

The new Spider-Man Exhibit will soon be open for viewing and remain open till January 3, 2023.
