Fan Favorite character set to be included in Tekken 8 as per leaks

Tekken 8 is set to be the latest inclusion in the legendary Tekken Franchise. With no release date announced yet, developers Bandai Namco confirm that the game will bring a “fight to the new generation.”

The official Bandai Namco Instagram account accidentally posted a gameplay trailer dedicated to the fan-favorite character of Bryan Fury, confirming his presence in the Tekken 8 roster. In the trailer, Bryan is seen combining punches and knee attacks along with high and mid-kicks that make potent combos.

Although the official video has been taken down, a quick Tekken Fan, u/S0phon, uploaded the same to Reddit, sparking widespread debates and mixed reactions about Bryan Fury’s character design.

Many fans have been vocal about wanting a slight variation from the original design. Most were not that happy about how “human” Bryan Fury looked, given the beast of a fighter that he is.

They wished that his character design would make him look less of a human. However, Bandai Namco added minute details like a little skull to Byran’s leg; most loyal fans of the Tekken franchise wanted more significant changes to the character’s design to live up to the hype.

Bryan’s inclusion isn’t surprising as he has been a regular in almost every mainline Tekken game, following his intro in 1997’s Tekken 3.

Fans love Bryan, a former police officer known for his visually satisfying hits. His unique kickboxing style will also be at the players’ disposal and prove capable in front of the strongest opponents.

The other confirmed characters seen in the press release by Bandai Namco are Jack-8, Jin Kazama, Jun Kazama, Kazuya Mishima, King, Lars Alexanderss, Ling Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Nina Williams, and Paul Phoenix.

Now, the introduction of Bryan Fury adds one more fan favorite to the roster of Tekken 8 that has no set release date. Other returning characters include Leroy Smith and Asuka Kazama.

The developers are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to deliver the most iconic combat Tekken has seen with a formidable lineup where every matchup is bound to be unique when the game releases.
