Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress season 2 is officially here. After the chaotic end to last season, one thing that is on everyone’s mind is what is Danji up to now?
In the first episode of the new season, Danji is about to get on a train when Megumi unexpectedly joins him. After she defeats Danji in a battle, she leaves the train halfway through the trip, leaving us with no clue where he might be going.
The latest PV might have spoiled his eventual destination.
Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress has released a promotional video before the premiere of the second season of the anime.
The PV begins in a distorted flashback fashion where Danji holds up a passed-out Touya and declares him the new leader of Team Blackout. Tohya then tries to take responsibility for making everyone unhappy by challenging Danji to a sudden battle.
The PV also features a scene with Danji standing outside of the Team Daybreak building.
Looking back, Danji had recognized the sleeve design of the flag burners from Team Daybreak in the final episode of the first season. Even with that foreshadowing, him possibly joining Team Daybreak is still quite surprising.
Maybe he will come back as an antagonist and face Yu-yu in the team match when it does come around.
We just don’t know when that is going to happen. Considering the anime already has a third and fourth season announced, that battle might be saved for the next one.
According to the rumors, this season will have plenty of battles. With a relatively character-focused first episode, the coming ones will be action-packed as ever.

The series continues as Cardfight!! Vanguard will+Dress after 2 seasons which aired on July 5, 2022. Two seasons of “will+Dress” are set to arrive in 2023.
