The strength of a military, the prosperity of one’s kingdom, and most importantly, the physical prowess are the things that determine the rank of a king. Despite having none of them, nothing is going to stop Bojji from becoming the greatest king ever in the upcoming Ousama Ranking.
This is an underdog story with seemingly no hope. The young prince Bojji is deaf and is mocked by the people of his kingdom as a “good for nothing prince.”
As expected from this kind of story, most of us will tear up just by watching its latest PV.
The official website for Ousama Ranking has released a promotional video for the upcoming anime. The series will be broadcasted between two consecutive cours starting from October 14, 2021.
The PV begins with Bojji meeting Kage, a former assassin shadow who is able to understand him despite his disability. He is then seen crying secretly after being publicly mocked by the people. Fortunately, he does seem to find help from various people later on.
Between all the emotions, we also get to see glimpses of the fantasy setting with shadow ghosts, magic, and devils. The PV also previews the ending theme for the series “Oz” by Yama.

Ōsama Ranking (Ranking of Kings) is a Japanese comedy manga series by Sōsuke Tōka. It has been serialized online via Echoes’ user-submitted Manga Hack website since May 2017. An anime television series adaptation by Wit Studio premiered in October 2021.
The story centers around Bojji, a deaf, powerless prince who cannot even wield a children’s sword. As the firstborn son, he strives hard and dreams of becoming the world’s greatest king.
