EA Sports will add complete cross-platform play in FIFA 23. This means that Xbox, PlayStation, and PC players can face each other in Ultimate Team and other 1v1 game modes. However, if you don’t prefer playing against players on other platforms you can choose to turn it off.

This is a much-awaited feature as you can verse your friends from different consoles to a classic FIFA match. It has received a mixed reaction from the community but seems like it would continue to work this way in future games.

2. Addition of Women’s Super League in FIFA 23

FIFA 23 will be the first time that England’s Barclays Women’s Super League and France’s Division 1 Arkema will be featured in the game. Consequently, 24 different women’s teams will be added, including Manchester City, PSG, Liverpool, and more.

This anticipated addition has been requested for years as people want more women’s representation in FIFA games. Previously, you could only play with female footballers in international matches. As a result, this is a step forward for female teams to be featured in FIFA 23.

3. Hypermotion 2 Technology Introduced in FIFA 23

EA Sports has announced that they will introduce Hypermotion 2 Technology in FIFA 23. Some of its effects were shown in the gameplay trailer, where it promises to receive “more animations than ever before.”

This means that you’ll have more control of the ball and brings more potential to realistic football skill sets you can try in the game. The Hypermotion 2 technology has taken data from skills carried out by footballers and applied them to the game.

4. Chemistry Changes in Fifa 23 Ultimate Team

According to leaks, FIFA 23 will allow you to link players of any league or nationality on a star system. This means that the rating out of 100 will be replaced with a system where you can get your team chemistry up to three stars.

It could be a massive change to FIFA’s competitive mode as you will be able to fit players from all around the world into one team without facing any consequences. It will change the way FUT will be played if this update is integrated into FIFA 23.

5. Position Change Updates to FIFA 23 Ultimate Team

In FIFA 23, players won’t be able to use specific position modifier cards to achieve the best chemistry in Ultimate Team. Instead, players will have a primary position shown on their card, alongside a secondary position they could play.

Players can change the secondary position by using a generic position modifier card, which you can get through FUT packs or by purchasing them on the Transfer Market. This would bring more drastic position changes, giving you more options while trying to create your Ultimate Team.

6. What platforms can you use to play FIFA 23?

FIFA traditionally releases a unique game mode for players during the World Cup and this year is expected to be the same. This mode will be released for all platforms, so no one’s missing out on their console.
