Ozark Season 4 Part 2 Premiere: Everything You Need to Know

Ozark Season 4 Part 1 ended on a massive cliffhanger. The Byrdes almost had an out before sh*t hit the fan, and there was absolute chaos. The seven episodes of Part 1 were released a while back, and there’s a good chance our memories might be a little hazy.

After there were too many variables involved—the Byrdes’ deal with the FBI, Maya disobeying orders, Wyatt Langmore getting killed, Ruth coming to know of it, and the list goes on.

So, in this article, I’ll be giving you a quick recap of everything that’s been happening to refresh your memories. Besides that, I’ll also share what I think could happen in the final few episodes of the show.

Ozark Season 4 Part 2 will certainly showcase Ruth trying to avenge Wyatt’s death and make Javi pay for it.

The Byrde family would try to make their escape from the Ozarks while attempting to settle their differences within the family. Javi would want to take over the Cartel.

Towards the end of Part 1, The Byrdes try to cut a deal with the FBI and the cartel’s head, also their boss, Omar Navarro. With this deal, the Byrdes would have walked away free, and Omar would have become an informant for the FBI for five years, after which he would have been free of all his past crimes.

Ruth

Just when Marty and Wendy think they’re out of the mess, Maya Miller disrupts her senior officers’ plans and arrests Omar. She wants him to pay for his crimes and doesn’t want to let go of the Byrdes, either.

Meanwhile, Wyatt and Darlene Snell, the newly married couple, were killed hours after their intimate wedding at Darlene’s place. The man behind it was none other than Javier, aka Javi. As it happens, Javi also wants to control the cartel by killing his uncle Omar.

When Ruth finds out about her cousin Wyatt, she is livid. She blames the Byrdes and asks them to tell her who did it. Now, they can’t tell her that because Marty and Wendy made Javi take the same deal as Omar, except that it’s for 10 years.

Jonah decides to tell her the name, effectively ending all her ties with Marty. She vows to find Javi and kill him herself. These were all the significant events of Season 4 Part 1. It’s evident that everyone’s future hangs in the balance, and no one is safe yet.

Part 2 will most likely take this chaos and amplify it. It would get even messier when you consider the new addition of Camila, who is Javier’s mother, and also Omar’s sister.

Wendy Byrde

If Javier dies, Byrdes’ deal goes for a toss again. However, even if Javier decides to take the deal, Camila has a good chance to intervene. But here’s the best part that I haven’t told you about yet.

If you remember, Helen Pierce was killed by Navarro. Her husband hired a private investigator called Mel Sattem to look for her. In the Part 1 finale, we see him contact Maya Miller.

We don’t know what they talk about, but it sure wouldn’t be good for Marty and Wendy.

So, this means that the Byrde family is getting cornered by different people—Maya, Mel Sattem, and even Javi, to a certain extent. So, they have to get past all of this to make it out.

Before I leave you, here’s another piece of information that you guys might have forgotten. At the beginning of the first episode of the season, we see the Byrde family in a car. They seem to be going to meet the FBI, as Wendy says, “48 more hours”.

This means that they must be pretty close to getting out alive. However, a large trailer comes in front of them. Marty takes a sharp left to divert the car, which swivels and spins a few times and then gets wrecked.

So, I guess we don’t know what will happen in the final lap of the show. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to get real dirty, and people are going to get hurt. Hopefully, the Byrdes will make it out alive. And maybe even Ruth. Can’t wait to find out!
