Episode 8 of Isekai Ojisan Indefinitely Postponed

Isekai Ojisan, the comedy oddball, has been going through a rough patch because of the never-ending rampage of COVID-19. The anime introduces a fresh concept within the isekai genre, and otakus quickly liked it.

Yet, the constant delay in releasing episodes has become frustrating over time, and now another delay has been revealed to dishearten fans even more.

Episode 8 of Isekai Ojisan has been indefinitely postponed due to the rise in COVID-19 cases. Many staff members at studio Atelier Pontdarc, the studio in charge of Isekai Ojisan’s animation production, have been infected.

Other studios involved in the production have also reported a rise in infections among staff members, ultimately leading to a pause in new episodes getting released.

Instead of airing new episodes, episodes 3 to 6 will be rebroadcast throughout September. The date for the anime’s resumption will be announced later.

Previously, Isekai Ojisan’s fifth episode was delayed by two weeks. It was also due to the spread of infection in the studio. Frequent delays in the anime are not only making fans wary but also harming the creators.

Episode 8 of the anime was originally scheduled for September 7, but now the series’ fate is unsure. I hope that the studios don’t push the production despite health concerns.

Fans hope that the staff members return to their duties only after the danger of further infection has been done away with.
