Trailer: Halo Gets a “New Beginning” in 2022 Paramount+ Show

A full-length trailer for Halo was finally released by Paramount+ at The Games Awards 2021.

The trailer gives you a better look at the main characters, the futuristic cities, and majestic space terrains in the 26th-century. The production is quite impressive, getting fans riled up with the scenes taking place in High Charity and The Rubble. See for yourself:

Like many first trailers, it does not reveal any plot details. The “new beginning,” voiced in the clip could point to the show diverging from the source material of the video games and books.

However, it is confirmed that it will follow Master Chief’s (Pablo Schreiber) mission to protect humanity in space, aided by his AI Cortona (Jen Taylor, who reprises her voice role from the video games).

Executive producer Kiki Wolfkill talks about adapting Master Chief’s character for the screens:

The game is designed to put you into Chief’s armor. What we’re asking people to do with the show is to sit back and say we’re going to present a side of Chief that you just don’t get to play in the game

Like the video games, Schreiber appears suited up in the trailer, so we don’t see much of his face. Still, as the protagonist, I would’ve liked to see more shots of him and his iconic green suit.

As compensation, there are quite a few scenes highlighting the war between the UNSC and the Covenant, which should get fans excited about the action sequences.

It is also speculated that the child we see in the trailer is one being raised by the Covenant for their own evil ploys.

For the rest of the characters, here’s how they appear chronologically in the trailer: Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, Yerin Ha as Quan, Charlie Murphy as Makee, Bokeem Woodbine as Soren-066, Casper Knopf as Young John and, Olive Gray as Dr. Miranda Keyes.
