Millie Bobby Brown’s Enola Holmes 2 Kiss Story Starts Controversy

Millie Bobby Brown is in the news again, this time for a serious concern regarding her Netflix interview detailing a specific scene from her latest venture, Enola Holmes 2. The Stranger Things actress sparked criticism after her interview where she told the behind-the-scenes story of her kiss with co-star Louis Partridge.

The Enola Holmes star shared on Netflix’s TikTok how she just “grabbed” her co-star’s face “and kissed him” in rehearsal and found his surprised reaction “cute.” Professional intimacy coordinator Jessica Steinrock took to the social media platform to explain how this is not just a “cute” moment and calls for concern, despite how close the two actors are.

Steinrock called out Brown for kissing Partridge without his consent and also pointed out that though they are friends, these actions can escalate over time. The coordinator also highlighted a “power imbalance” since Brown is not only an actor in the film but also a producer, thus raising another red flag.

But that’s not all that caused eyebrows to rise! Brown also detailed how she wasn’t pulling her punches when acting out the scene where Homes teaches Tewkesbury how to throw a punch. The actress uses the word “cute” again when Partridge asks her to “just fake-punch” him from then.

And thus lies the real issue – what Brown constitutes as moments of fondness and friendly camaraderie can easily be seen as acts of aggression and non-consensual activities, presenting a significant problem on the actress’ part, who calls them “cute.”

The actress’ supporters and video viewers state divisive views over Steinrock’s take, some saying the coordinator is overreacting while some side with her, explaining how in any other profession or situation, people wouldn’t be taking Brown’s side.

Maybe this is just how Brown acts with her guy friends, as she’s stated, or perhaps the intimacy coordinator should’ve stepped in when necessary. Nevertheless, it just isn’t “cute,” or are we the only ones that think so?
