The recently launched Duel Masters anime, Duel Masters King, has just announced that episode 5 will be released on 31st May, and the series will henceforth resume. This announcement was made on the official Duel Masters King anime website.
The anime which premiered on 5th April on TV Tokyo and aired on Sundays at 8:30 a.m. postponed its new episodes on 26th April because of the pandemic. The TV channels began re-airing the previous episodes from 3rd May.
The anime is being produced by Shogakukan Music and Digital Entertainment (SMDE) and Brains Base. Hiroshi Ishiodori is directing the anime. Yoichi Kato is overseeing the series scripts, and the characters are designed by Yasuyuki Noda.
The anime is a continuation of the 2019 “Duel Masters!!” anime, which is itself a continuation of the 2018 “Duel Masters!” anime, which in turn is the continuation of the 2017 “Duel Masters” anime (God, that’s hard to keep track of!). The protagonist of all four series is Joe Kirifuda, son of the protagonist of the previous seasons of Duel Masters.
The Duel Masters King Manga was launched on 15th February by Shigenobu Matsumoto.
