King Vearn and Dai’s fight continued in episode 86 of Dragon Quest, titled “Killvearn’s Trap.”
A lot happened in this episode. King Vearn tries to manipulate Dai in the name of his father. For someone that powerful, it sure is pathetic to use a trick like that. However, as expected from Dai, he didn’t get carried away.
Avan and Killvearn, too, are fighting on the other hand. Killvearn looked like he won’t last long, but he brought a twist to the fight by setting up traps all over the place. Hym fought Mystvearn on Hyunckel’s behalf, and it looked like his attacks damaged Mystvearn.

Episode 87 Speculations
Hym’s fight against Mystvearn might end in episode 87 of Dragon Quest, titled “The Deciding Attack.”
I don’t think the same can be said for the fight between Dai and King Vearn. I think their fight will probably last for two-three more episodes as it’s the final boss fight. So we must wait another two to three weeks to see King Vearn’s demise.
However, one major battle will end between Hym and Mystvearn, but it is apparent that he won’t go down easily. Let’s see what tricks he has up his sleeves.

Episode 86 Recap
Dai and King Vearn continue their fight at the palace. King Vearn recognizes Dai as the most powerful enemy he ever faced. He is way stronger than his own father.
Hence Vearn offers Dai to join him and become his servant. He doesn’t want Dai’s talent to go to waste. He tells Dai that even his father said yes to this question.
He tries to manipulate Dai into it by saying that even if he defeats Vearn for human’s sake. They are only going to disband him and cast him aside. Dai falls into Vearn’s trap and falls into a dilemma. He thinks Vearn’s wrong and continues his fight against Vearn.
Avan has the upper hand against Killvearn and has cornered him. Killvearn is near defeat, but he reveals his ultimate trap. He has set up blades everywhere around the place. These are invisible blades, and they are thirteen of them.
Killvearn slowly starts to get the advantage. Avan is the one cornered now. He gets badly injured. He tries to use a powerful magic trick, but the judge interferes and stops Avan. He even teamed up with the judge just to stop Avan.
He starts getting out of the dimension, Avan tries to stop him, but Killvearn cuts his hand and comes out, leaving Avan in there. He finds out that King Vearn is at a disadvantage against Dai, but he isn’t in any hurry to go for his aid.
Hyunckel and the others seem to have no strength left to fight Mystvearn. It is at this time that Hym shows up to fight Mystvearn. Hym is only doing this because he promised Hyunckel he would defeat every enemy that Hyunckel was supposed to defeat.
They began fighting, and Hym started overpowering Mystvearn. He emits a bright, colorful aura during the fight. It is the aura of light. Hym is good at heart, and because of this, he can emit the aura of light. The aura of light is the greatest weakness against Mystvearn because he uses the dark aura.
He completely overpowers Mystvearn, and it looks like he will win this fight in no time. Dai also overpowers King Vearn, but it doesn’t look like Vearn is going down anytime soon.

The story features Dai, a boy living in the Dermline Islands and his quest of becoming a hero and realizing his powers and helping Princess Leona along the way.
The games were adapted into two major television series. Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai is the remake of the 1991 series which had 46 episodes in total.
