Dragon Quest Episode 73 Release Date, Speculations, Watch Online

Dai and Hadlar’s battle finally came to an end in episode 72 of Dragon Quest titled “The Last Attack.”

The animation in this episode was pretty sick as we got to see some cool action. The cliffhanger at the end makes things much more interesting and we can’t wait for the next episode to see what will happen to Dai and Popp.

The honorable duel between Hadlar and Dai was interrupted by KillVearn, who trapped the two in a kill trap. The episode was fast-paced, which greatly enhanced the experience. I hope we get more such episodes.

As the disciples of Avarn try hard to figure out a way to save Dai and Popp, here are the latest updates.

Episode 72 Recap

Seeing Hadlar standing even after his final attack, Dai now decides to use Zapple to end the battle once and for all. He uses magic to make up for his lost aura. After using magic, he sheaths the sword. Hadlar gets angry and asks the reason for sheathing his sword.

Dai tells him that his scabbard is a new weapon made by Lon Beruk, and his sword can’t get any stronger. Nevertheless, this sheath can increase his sword’s power if he sheaths his sword, its magic power will increase inside. It will be in its most potent form when he pulls out the sword.

He flies away from his friends. Leona tells Maam that Dai did it to buy himself some time because magic power amplification takes time.

Still, Popp adds to it, saying Dai is confident that his next attack will be very powerful, so he wants to distance himself to protect them from any harm.

He starts a countdown until he can pull out his sword again. Hadlar waits for him to do that (stupid villain!) and deduces that his father’s Gigiabreak is the only move he can use for now. He, too, gets ready to use his Ultra Combustion Slash.

Dai unsheaths his sword when the countdown is complete and takes his stance. They both attack each other, but to Hadlar’s surprise, Dai is using Gigastrash, i.e., he has combined the attacks of Avarn and his father. This catches Hadlar off-guard, and he is defeated.

Dai tells Hadlar that he invented this move right now as there was no other way to defeat him. Hadlar is honored by the battle and wants to touch the hands that beat him. As Dai is about to grab his hand, some cracks open up on the floor, surrounding them.

Hyunckel immediately concludes that it is the reaper Killvearn. As they turn around, they see him standing behind them.  The holes he cracked up burst into flames, and Dai and Hadlar get caught in a fire.

He tells Dai’s friends that he has placed various traps around Vearn’s palace, and the one he used, The Nine Diamonds, is one of the traps. It lets him summon the strongest flames from the underworld, and it is the ultimate spellcraft.

He waited till Dai and Hadlar exhausted themselves by fighting to destroy them completely.

He assures Maam that they can’t do anything, as the eight all-consuming flames gather at the central point and all living beings inside turn into ashes.

As the flames are about to reach the center, Popp is already inside the trap and protected Dai telling Killvearn that till he is there, his vicious moves are not going to work.

Killvearn leaves them and returns to King Vearn. Hyunckel decides to use Grandcrossas. No normal spell can do anything against the trap, and it has to get blown away by the strongest power.

The energy output of Grandcross is unmatched, so they think that this will work out, but to their shock, nothing happened.

No one among them can do anything, as only Popp has the magical powers to stop the flames, and none of them are even close. There seems to be only one way, and that is to defeat Killvearn, but that is going to take a lot of time, and Popp won’t be able to hold back that long.

Maam asks Leona to use her Kaglimmer, but she can’t use it as all of the Kagimmer was used to just stop the palace. The place is already under her spell, and using it a second time is not going to yield any results.

They are utterly hopeless in the situation, and Popp is slowly getting more and more exhausted, but there is no way out.
