Episode 67 Episode
Episode 67 starts with Popp not being able to make his Insignia glow. He is frustrated by his helplessness and questions why Avan trusted him so much.
Everyone tries to convince him and encourage him to keep trying as they believe in him. Zaboera attacks the underground monsters claiming them to be more powerful than the surface monsters.
Everyone gets ready to face them while encouraging the five disciples to continue with the Kaglimmer spell and that they believe in Popp. Popp isn’t convinced and asks Princess to retreat for now as they have succeeded in rescuing Hyunckel.
Hyunckel tells him that there is no turning back now. Maam tells Popp to try as she believes in and admires him the most. Popp yells at her telling her he doesn’t need her admiration.
Meanwhile, Merle senses some strong evil power, she then sees Zaboera going to attack Popp with poison to break the spell, but as he throws it at him, Merle jumps in front of him.
Merle tells Popp to believe in himself and his feelings. She wanted to be useful to him and finally confessed her feelings that she loved him. She asks a final question to Popp about whom he loves.
Popp finally admits that he loves Maam, and at the same time, his Insignia starts to glow, revealing that he was the one with the Insignia of courage. He also begins to heal Merle, revealing his overwhelming Sage powers.

The story features Dai, a boy living in the Dermline Islands and his quest of becoming a hero and realizing his powers and helping Princess Leona along the way.
The games were adapted into two major television series. Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai is the remake of the 1991 series which had 46 episodes in total.
