Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Shows Off Jiren at Full Power

Even five years after its launch Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is still not done pulling content from the vast Dragon Ball universe. In its latest DLC by Bandai Namco titled “Legendary pack two,” the game will receive two new characters this fall. One of the characters is Jiren from Dragon Ball Super, while the other is still unknown.

In the trailer shared by the publisher, we have our best look yet at the fighter from Universe 11 in his full power. The gameplay footage shows Jiren fighting against ‘Ultra Instinct!’ Goku while pulling off some of his super moves from the anime.

Though one odd thing is that this “Ultra Instinct! Goku” neither has UI Sign nor MUI. This version of ultra instinct is apparently unique to the in-game character, but that just makes this all the more exciting.

The trailer featuring Jiren also has some hints regarding the second mystery character. In the trailer’s second half, we see Vegeta and Goku perform a fusion dance, but the footage cuts to black before the ritual finishes.

From the hint, I believe that the next DLC character after Jiren will be Gotega, a Saiyan fusion of Goku and Vegeta. Though Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 already has various variants of Gotega in his Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 4 form,  we could get some new or alternate variants of the popular character.

Other than the two new characters, no further additions have been announced for the game yet. In comparison, the previous DLC titled “Legendary pack one” game received two new characters Pikkon and Toppo (God of Destruction), more missions, quests, costumes, and illustrations.

In the months leading up to the launch in the fall, we can expect even more content in the DLC and revelation on who is the mystery character?
