With the debut of two characters in superhero-like costumes named Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, the clips were enough to send fans into a frenzy. Are they Goku’s friends or foes? We are dying to know!

This Super Hero film gives us the best of both worlds. Its teaser trailer exhibits the new and evolved CG art style, a beautiful mix of Akira Toriyama’s trademark aesthetic and 3D computer-generated animation.

Bringing in new characters and the adored returning characters such as Bulma in a new outfit, Dende with maturity, and an older, stronger, and martial arts trained Pan is the latest Dragon Ball movie.

Toriyama alone designed all of the new redesigns, so you know they are of the finest quality.

There is no such thing as too much Dragon Ball. With that said, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero takes place many years after the last film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly.

From the trailer, eagle-eyed fans have noticed that several of the new characters appear to be linked to the Red Ribbon Army, a group that Goku battled in the Dragon Ball manga’s early chapters.

But have no fear, the film’s producers have announced that the Super Hero movie will premiere in Japan sometime in 2022, with an international premiere following shortly.
