Previously, on Goku’s wish, King Yemma had reincarnated Kid Buu as Uub who later becomes Goku’s student after fighting him in the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. So, if you have been skipping Dragon Ball, then you have quite a lot to catch up with.
We will have to wait to see how powerful Uub gets after training with Goku, but its definitely gonna be a treat to watch. This not only makes the series more exciting but also ensures a future for Goku in the series for quite some time.
Artist @Anotherguyrightthere on Reddit gave us a cool prediction on Uub’s future. He becomes a strong contender for the next generation of Earth’s guardians. He even unlocks his own variation of Ultra Instinct!
This prediction is much more exciting and promising than what was covered in Dragon Ball GT. In the Galactic Patrol Prisoner Arc of the series, it was shown that Grand Supreme Kai was part of Buu’s body at the time when Uub was reincarnated. This gave birth to a theory which says that Uub could inherit some godly powers. Uub doesn’t have Saiyan blood so he cannot possess the skills of the Super Saiyan God. Still, Ultra Instinct is not a joke either as its also a godly transformation.

Goku travels to other universes to face more powerful opponents as well as nearly unstoppable foes.
