In chapter 231, titled “A Future to get Excited about,” Senku tried to negotiate with the Medusas, but the devices rejected the offer.
Why-Men decided to abandon earth for a better intelligent species. Even though Senku tried to convince them, the devices didn’t accept it. Surprisingly, one Medusa stayed back out of curiosity towards Senku’s idea to witness how humanity progresses.
How will Senku and the science crew’s adventures play out? Let’s find out as we get you the latest chapter updates of the manga.
1. Chapter 232 Raw Scans and Leaks
The raw scans of Dr. Stone’s final chapter have been just released. Chapter 232 acts as an epilogue to the series as the Why-Man Assault Team safely returns to Earth and humanity gets restored. Senku, Kohaku, Stanley, and Ryusui return to Earth. As they cross the atmosphere and land in the ocean, The Perseus welcomes them.
Senku and others reunite with the Kingdom of Science and are honored for their contribution in defeating the Why-Man. They are later seen congratulating each other for finally achieving their goal of restoring humanity.
In the later panels, Gen can be seen talking to people and then taking off to Japan, where Francois, Suika, and a third unknown person await him. He and Francois get into a car to arrive at Taiju and Yuzuriha’s wedding. Taiju is excited, and Kohaku teases Ruri about the latter being the next to get married.
Tsukasa is also present, looking back at the past and how he earlier looked at restoring the entire humanity as a threat to the future. He is seen smiling, feeling glad about meeting Senku and giving humanity a second chance.
After this, Taiju, Yuzuriha, and others visit the laboratory to meet Senku. To their utter surprise, the person in front is NOT Senku, but a woman who looks almost like him. She, along with Gen and other scientists are discussing something, with a piece of broken Medusa device next to them.
Taiju and the others then go deeper towards the research room, where Senku is working on an enormous invention. Medusa can be seen inside it, and Gen asks Senku about it. As he reveals that the invention is a Medusa device, everybody looks at him in awe. Senku recalls his time spent with his father. It is further explained that the Medusa device is a time machine, indicating that Senku wants to save his father and the others.
After saying a few words to everyone, he finally boards the time machine.
2. Chapter 232 Discussion
Senku slowly makes new grounds to build a path for a reliable future for humanity and the lone Why-Man. After the manga fulfilled the answers, the fandom did not expect such a turn from what they were waiting to see.
Senku’s idea did not get through with the Why-Men, yet one was curious about the odds of success. What was Senku’s one-shot plan that made the Medusas abandon earth? These Why-Men are one tough customer considering Senku’s intelligence.
With Dr. Stone ending in a chapter, the fandom’s opinion of how the manga is justifying the end is on a debate. The next chapter will reveal what Senku plans to do with the Medusa. Hopefully, the final chapter will bring some satisfying end the fans can grasp.
With the unveiling of the most anticipated reveal in Dr. Stone, I hope you’re more eager than ever. Let’s wait and see how the story progresses as Senku and his friends face the unexpected.

I. Is Dr. Stone on Break This Week?
Chapter 232 of Dr. Stone is not on a break this week. It will continue in the next issue of the Weekly Shonen Jump as usual.
4. Recap of Chapter 231
This chapter starts with Senku imagining the mechanisms of Why-Men since they can float around. As the Why-Men show the flexibility of assuming forms, Senku gets an idea based on the parasites ignoring gravity.
Senku is then seen talking to Why-Men about his plans. On the other hand, Kohaku and Stanley brace for the worst but find the Medusas starting to leave. Since they find the intelligence lacking to replicate the parasitic devices, Why-Men decide to look for another planet to petrify.
As the Why-Men make their way to leave, Senku tries to convince them to give up on finding another race and work with them instead. Given the near-zero possibility that humanity may evolve fast enough, Senku assures survival for the advanced devices.
He explains the offer with his own example of how humanity emerged barely in a decade from the stone age to the moon. Unfortunately, Why-Men resorts to abandoning earth and denying Senku’s request.
To the astronaut’s surprise, one Medusa decides to stay with the humans and see how they pull off the near-zero chance of advancing. Humanity’s threat of being petrified is over as the Why-Men vanished into space.
With only one trophy of futuristic science, the space team places the Medusa in a vacuum capsule to prevent it from rusting. Kohaku, out of curiosity, asks the Medusa of its origins, but the device answers with ‘unknown.’
The Medusa questions the dislike of petrification, but Senku and the team reply that it isn’t exciting to remain frozen in stone. Senku then says humanity’s reasoning has nothing to do with survival but with the excitement of questioning the unknown.
Whether it is an abnormal habit or not, humanity is guaranteed to have the urge to question the unknown. Senku says that’s how science rolls since the eras before them and throughout the ages to come.
