VanCamp made her debut on the popular talk show in 2016 following the release of Civil War alongside fellow cast members Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Don Cheadle (War Machine), and Paul Bettany (Vision).

She returned as Sharon Carter in Episode 3, “Power Broker”, and helped save the trio of Wilson, Barnes, and Zemo from a bunch of bounty hunters. It is also revealed that ever since being branded an enemy of the state in Civil War, she has been living undercover as an art dealer in Madripoor.

Since the government did not pardon her like the others, Sharon is shown to have grown a resentment towards superheroes and even goes on to condemn their “hypocrisy.”

VanCamp also explained that her character is in a “pretty dark place” and that she is looking forward to exploring this new side.

Furthermore, considering her shady behavior and movements, many fans have even hypothesized that Sharon could be the mysterious Power Broker.

When asked about this in an interview, VanCamp responded,

“Well, that’s a good question. I mean, the Power Broker could be anybody. Also, there are several characters that have yet to be seen. So, I mean, I can’t say anything.”

Considering that there are only two more episodes to go till the show ends, VanCamp’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! could help shed some more light on her role.

Last week’s episode ended on a high note with the new Captain America going berserk in a battle with the Flag Smashers after injecting himself with the super-soldier serum. As we await the penultimate episode, a look into Sharon’s side of things might prove crucial for where the narrative of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier ends.
