Is Eren’s Desire for His Friends to Stop the Rumbling by Killing Him?

Eren Yeager is one complicated guy; his actions in the show have left me scratching my head more than once. Initially, it seemed like he just wanted to protect his friends and defeat his enemies, but as the story unfolded, it became apparent that there was more to his intentions than meets the eye.

The latest episode of Attack on Titan has left everyone with a burning question – is Eren looking to be stopped or perhaps even killed?

Despite Eren’s ability to control all titans and Eldians, he’s not using that power to stop his friends from trying to take him down. Instead, he lets them act freely and hopes they’ll stop him.

Why Is Eren Seeking Death by The Hands of His Friends?

Just as Reiner said that he knows Eren must be going through severe agony carrying out all this mass murder, they got called into the paths – talk about perfect timing.

Reiner even suggests that he can comprehend Eren’s thought process to some extent and would also desire someone to prevent him if he were in Eren’s position.

His suspicions are confirmed when Eren declares that if someone wants to stop his plan, they should bring him to his final breath. His idea of “freedom” seems to have reached its emo peak.

Eren doesn’t want to die but knows he can’t live with himself after causing so much destruction. He wants to make Armin and Mikasa look like heroes for stopping the Rumbling and killing him, so they’ll be safe.

But here’s the silver lining – even in the middle of all this madness, there’s still a chance for humans to come together and understand each other. Eren’s hoping that once both sides see him as the villain, they’ll unite and find common ground.

Why Did Eren Initiate the Rumbling, Knowing It Had to Be Stopped?

Eren’s actions have left many of us with mixed feelings, and it’s understandable why. Eren’s motives could be interpreted in a few different ways-

On the one hand, he may be seeking revenge and fighting for the freedom of Paradis. On the other hand, he could be part of a larger plan guided by Ymir to free her from her chains and break the cycle of war and hatred.

Eren’s ability to see the future allowed him to understand that drastic action was necessary to save Paradis. He knew his friends would try to stop him and felt he had no choice but to carry out the Rumbling.

If Eren had chosen to do nothing, even more harm and disaster could have befallen the world. Other countries may have invaded Paradis, and everyone he cared about could have died.

So, his actions were expected to force the world to move forward and create a lasting peace treaty.

But as we near the end of the series, the plot holes in Attack on Titan continue to grow, and we’re left wondering if we’ll ever truly understand what’s going on. Only Ymir knows the real reason for everything that’s happening.

Has Eren Become a Pathetic Villain?

Eren didn’t listen to anyone else’s advice or opinions; he was so focused on his thoughts and plans that he was willing to create his division of Jaegerists and even kill fellow soldiers who disagreed with him.

It was devastating to watch so many lives lost in the blink of an eye by the Rumbling, especially when some of those people had never seen war before.

Eren’s uncompromising nature and lack of introspection ultimately turn him into the ultimate villain. He distanced himself from everyone and didn’t even share his plans with his closest friends and loved ones.

Eren really hit Mikasa where it hurts by bringing up her lineage as an Ackerman. It was such a low blow and shattered her emotionally. While Eren might think he had a good reason for doing it, it was still a terrible thing to do to someone so close to him.

It’s sad to see how far Eren has gone from the determined, caring boy we first met in season one. But even with all the destruction he caused, I still can’t help but feel a twinge of sympathy for him. I wish he had found a better way to make his point and achieve his goals.
