In episode 1 of Do It Yourself!!, it is pretty cool to have Rei-senpai as a teacher. After noticing Serufu’s bike is not working, she asks her what the problem is, fixes it, and leaves without saying a word.
She appears to be the only DIY club member; as per tradition, she must recruit five more members if she wants the club to continue.
Now that Serufu has joined, we only need three more members and know who the final three are from the final scene. I initially thought Purin would be one of them, but considering how much she loves automated and modern technology, I think she might not be a good fit.

Episode 2 Speculation
As of right now, there are no speculations regarding episode 2. Quite a bit of drama was present in the previous episode. Continuing from where the previous episodes left off, the upcoming episodes will pick up directly where they left off.
Seeing the fights and drama firsthand will thrill me when the new episode is released.

Episode 1 Recap
Having a laid-back Serufu and a tsundere Purin makes for a beautiful dynamic. That’s cute. Another cute character seems to be Takumin.
She was called pig meat by Serufu, wasn’t she? I don’t know what to say about that pet pig’s name. Will they torture the poor critter for as long as they eat pork in front of it? That’s hilarious.
Because she’s weird and spacey (and a total waifu, haha), I guess she takes after her mom. In some odd way, it doesn’t surprise me that Serufu used to eat crayons AND pictures she drew of fruit. They need three more to make it three in the DIY club.
I kind of feel like I’m at Laidback Camp listening to this. At least for now, I think I will stick with it. My favorite aspect of this show is that the third-year students look older than first-year students, which is something that many shows don’t bother with.
Many shows feature characters who look like high schoolers, even if it’s a minor detail.

Do It Yourself is an original anime series by studio PINE JAM. Kazuhiro Yoneda is directing the anime, and Kazuyuki Fudeyasu is penning down the series script.
The anime will follow the daily adventures of Purin and her five school friends who find joy in working on various DIY projects. No matter how much they struggle or how many times they fail, they don’t give up and see the projects through to their end.
