Boba Fett and Fennec Shand are ‘Ready’ for Incoming War in New Teaser

Disney+ just dropped a new teaser for The Book of Boba Fett series and it shows Boba and Fennec Shand prepare for war with the former aiming to take over Tatooine.

Now that Jabba the Hutt is dead, there’s nothing stopping Boba Fett from being the new crime lord of the desert planet… or is there?

The teaser is titled ‘Ready’ and shows the deadly duo going up against an enemy. Similar to the first official trailer, we see Boba Fett aspiring to rule with respect instead of ruling with fear, already differing from how Jabba ran things.

However, not everyone is willing to accept the new management, and hence enemies striking from all directions will put Boba’s rule at stake.

Fennec says in a foreboding tone that this was “just the first wave” and that they’ll be going to war. To which Boba replies, “Then, we will be ready,” as he puts on his armor like the badass he is.

The teaser also reveals a few glimpses of the series’ setting, with a few rooftop shots during a chase/fight sequence.

The Book of Boba Fett was created by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. The seven-episode series is a spinoff of The Mandalorian, as the show’s season 2 finale established Boba taking over Jabba’s palace.

Temuera Morrison (Boba Fett) told Rotten Tomatoes a few months ago that the series will explore the character’s story after The Empire Strikes Back and said the series will “go back in time and check out his journey and find out more about him.”

Whereas Ming-Na Wen (Fennec Shand) compared the upcoming series and the duo’s bond to The Godfather in a recent interview,

I feel like they are bonded because both of them had near-death experiences. They’re both bounty hunters, and they do adhere to a certain level of respect and honor. He saved her, and there’s a debt to be paid, and bounty hunters honor that debt.

The new teaser, along with the previous ones, highlights this exact point, showing that Boba and Fennec are true companions, fighting mysterious enemies together.

The Book Of Boba Fett premieres on Disney+ starting December 29.
