Lucasfilm’s extensive plans for the Star Wars franchise abruptly stopped when films like ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ and ‘Solo: A Star Wars’ bombed at the box office.

This instigated the studio to change gears and focus on the small screen. The shows they’ve produced for streaming platforms have seen immense success, but it was only a matter of time before Lucasfilm returned to the big screen. And who better to star in their new films than the fan-favorite Din Djarin?

The most exciting part of Iger’s statements is that he also talks about other mystery shows being in the works.

This list might include Donald Glover’s Lando, which has been shifted from small to big screens. However, there might also be other mystery films in development, something that’ll surely delight the fans.

The upcoming films will open up three completely different eras for the fans. Fans will witness the birth of the Force in James Mangold’s “Dawn of the Jedi,” set 25,000 years in the past.

‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ is set roughly five years after the Empire’s fall. Finally, fans will see Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy introducing Rey’s new Jedi Order almost fifteen years after ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.’ These new timelines will provide ample opportunities to explore new facets of the universe.

Got the rare talent to binge an entire show in a single sitting just like that. Although a sucker for psychological thrillers, no bias for any genre when it comes to a good story. A living proof that Netflix and chill is not a myth!
