Disabling Enemy Proximity Effect might make AC: Mirage more immersive

Assassin’s Creed Mirage is out, and the Assassin’s Creed fandom has not been this happy for a long time. With a dedicated set of developers that brought life to the vision, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is an actual stealth-based game.

Fans are flocking to Reddit to suggest ways others can improve the feeling of stealth and bring to life what the developers indeed intended in Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

On Reddit, u/Bruce_VVayne suggested turning off the Enemy Proximity effect to have a more realistic and immersive stealth experience in Assassin’s Creed Mirage. This will not mark the enemies through the walls and allow for immersive gameplay.

Turning off the Enemy Proximity effect is what the developers intended for seasoned Assassin’s Creed franchise veterans looking for an added challenge.

Remember that Ubisoft Bordeaux initially started working on Assassin’s Creed Mirage as a DLC to AC: Valhalla. However, it blossomed into a standalone game of itself.

Set in 9th-century Baghdad, the developers wanted to return to the roots of Assassin’s Creed franchise. Stealth elements were reintroduced with a gameplay that rewards stealth and improves parkour set in an environment that promotes verticality.

In AC: Valhalla, Enemy Proximity could be switched off only after a patch that enraged most of the fanbase. Ubisoft has learned from its mistakes and allowed players to switch off the Enemy Proximity effect right from the onset of Assassin’s Creed Mirage.

Fans are heaping praises on the developers, Ubisoft Bordeaux. This is mainly because they managed to create such a beautiful game at a budget and workforce barely enough to make a DLC.

There are multiple requests already to explore the Assassin’s Creed franchise’s history in a way that is true to the roots of the franchise and in a landscape that evokes the emotions of stealth and being hunted, instead of hunting.

With the multi-faceted protagonist, Basim, who has nightmares of Djinn frequently, players can explore 9th Century Baghdad in Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is out now.
