Kazuma’s mother can’t recall any memory of Kazuma, telling Kiyo that she never had a child and angrily throwing him out of her house. Hawkmon tells Kiyo that Gazimon and Kamemon, too, were nowhere to be found this morning.

They discuss this problem with Ruri and decide to check out at night. While patrolling, Ruri spots someone whom Agoramon recognizes as Petermon.

She tells everyone that Petermon is a Digimon who kidnaps children and takes them to Never-Ever Land, a land only of children. His whistle can control anyone asleep.

They follow him to see where he takes away the children. They find out that he opens a portal to the Never-Ever Land with the help of a password.

Petermon spots them and takes away Hawkmon with himself. Hiro tries to open the doorway but with no result.

At night, Petermon appears at Hiro’s house when Hiro and Gammamon are asleep. He tries to take Gammamon with him but can’t proceed because of the smell of the room.

He ends up manipulating their memory. When they wake up, they don’t remember anything and have no idea what happened last night.

They find out that Petermon manipulated their memory when they were sleeping. They deduce a plan to send someone to the other side to open the portal. Gammamon takes the initiative to do that.

At night, Petermon finds Gammamon sound asleep and takes him away, with the rest of them following him. Gammamon enters the Never-Ever Land and is delighted to see the place. When Petermon goes away, the others join him on the land.

Petermon immediately returns to the land, smelling something grown-up. He attacks Ruri, but Angoramon protects her. She and Jellymon then evolve. Petermon is angered by their evolution as it is not allowed in his kingdom.

Petermon is heartbroken seeing everyone wanting to grow up. He says grown-ups always break their promises. Hiro tells him there is nothing wrong with growing up and having fun. He promises to grow up and have fun.

Suddenly Captainhookmon appears with his huge ship, asking Petermon to accompany him. Petermon is captivated by him and flies away with him on his ship.

About Digimon

Digimon, short for “Digital Monsters,” is a Japanese media franchise offering toy pets, manga, anime, games, films, and even a trading card game. The franchise was created back in 1997 as a series of virtual pets, influenced by Tamagotchi/nano Giga Pet toys.

The franchise gained momentum with its first anime, Digimon Adventure, and an early video game, Digimon World, both of which were released in 1999.

Digimon, the series focuses on monsters like creatures, who inhabit a “Digital World,” a parallel universe that originated from Earth’s various communication networks. Digimon hatch from eggs called Digi-Eggs, and they go through Digivolution, which changes their appearance and increases their powers over time.

The effect of Digivolution, however, is not permanent. Digimon who have digivolved will find most of the time revert back to their previous form after a battle or if they are too weak to continue. Most of them can even speak.
