We all grew up watching Digimon and loved the adorable monsters who evolved into powerful creatures for battles. Unlike Pokémons, Digimons can talk, and their evolution is not a one-way process.
The official Twitter account of Digimon Adventures announced the reboot broadcast of the anime episodes starting 7th June. The anime will air from episode one on Sundays at 9 a.m (JST) on Fuji TV.
It was announced in April that Digimon Adventures will face a delay due to the pandemic and the release of new episodes were postponed.
Digimon Adventure (2020) is the reboot of the original Digimon Adventure, which was released in 1999. It is licensed by Toei Animation and Crunchyroll. So far, only three episodes have been released.
In the year 2020, a lot of cyber attacks have taken place all over Tokyo. These attacks have heavily affected the digital world of Digimons. Eight children have been transported to “Digiworld” to save the place and its creatures. They acquire Digivices and have to team up with Digimons to defeat whatever is threatening the world.
Although Digimon Adventure (2020) was supposed to make us nostalgic and excited about new elements in the rebooted version, sadly, it failed to do both. The show allows little to no time for relationship development between the Digidestined and the Digimon.
The evolutions shown in the first couple of episodes in the anime are so over the top that it kills any expectation of development in final ones.
Episode 4 & New Characters
In the preview for episode 4 of Digimon Adventure — Birdramon Soars, Taichi, and the others are in danger, and Sora’s Digivice lights up. The preview teases the appearance of Birdramon, the evolved form of Biyomon. Sora is the partner of Biyomon.
A new character introduction video of the anime has also been released by the official Digimon website, check it out right here to know more about Digiworld:
Digimon, short for “Digital Monsters,” is a Japanese media franchise offering toy pets, manga, anime, games, films, and even a trading card game. The franchise was created back in 1997 as a series of virtual pets, influenced by Tamagotchi/nano Giga Pet toys.
The franchise gained momentum with its first anime, Digimon Adventure, and an early video game, Digimon World, both of which were released in 1999.
Digimon, the series focuses on monsters like creatures, who inhabit a “Digital World,” a parallel universe that originated from Earth’s various communication networks. Digimon hatch from eggs called Digi-Eggs, and they go through Digivolution, which changes their appearance and increases their powers over time.
The effect of Digivolution, however, is not permanent. Digimon who have digivolved will find most of the time revert back to their previous form after a battle or if they are too weak to continue. Most of them can even speak.
