Diamond no Ace-Act II Chapter 228: Release Date, Delay, Read Online

The current chapter, ‘This is Sankou,’ started tense as Amahisa plays his best with his new pitch: The Slutter. The new variation manages to surprise not only Kominato but also Shirasu and strikes them both out.

With a slight difference from his fastball, the Slutter is a new weapon to keep an eye on as the batters get all struck out. At the top of the 2nd inning, Eijun manages to get one strike off the batter, Hoshida.

However, Hoshida turns tables by hitting a run and getting on second base. Will Sawamura be able to pull through?

1. Chapter 228 Discussions & Predictions

As the current chapter ended with Hoshida hitting Eijun’s number 5 like it was nothing, we might see something entirely different in the next chapter.

In Chapter 288, we should see whether this hit is the first and last hit of Sankou against Eijun’s pitching or not. It seems Miyuki wanted to get a grounder off Hoshida but was unsuccessful.

So, maybe the entire inning, Miyuki and Eijun could go for strikeouts. With a number of no contact pitches, the chances of strikeouts would increase. It should take some pressure off their batters too.

Assistant coach Ochiai remarks that unless Seidou scores at least 3 runs, they won’t be able to win this match. But, looking at Amahisa Ochiai feels those 3 runs would be too much to handle.

Now, at the top of the 2nd, the batter to come out in front of Sawamura’s pitching is Hoshida, who is Sankou’s best hitter who produced 2 RBIs against Yakushi.

II. Eijun’s Number 5

Miyuki sings for Eijun to pitch his number 4, which manages to get a strike against Hoshida. Feeling a bit secure, Miyuki and Sawamura go in with number 5.

But, although Hoshida’s timing was a bit off against the weird changeup, he managed to hit the ball to the center field. His force pushes the ball to the outfield, and he gets on the second base with no out.
