Chapter 285 of Diamond no Ace Act II, titled “It’s All Right Here,” was the manga’s latest installment.
It was the bottom of the sixth, and sparks flew between Furuya and Mei, and the pitcher showed no sign of slowing down. Furuya was still fast and powerful but lost control and threw his pitches too high.
Miyuki noticed that he was straining too much. Even after he managed to get his first out, he got pulled out by the captain. Miyuki reminded Furuya to go at his own pace and go to the Koushien Stadium to defeat Senbatsu.
As Furuya continues to bombard the Inajitsu players with his attacks, will they find a way to finally crack his pitches? We’ll find out in the next chapter.
1. Chapter 286 Discussions and Predictions
Despite nearing 100 throws, Furuya’s pitches are still swift and strong. Although it did seem like he was straining himself too much. Since Mei is already out, I don’t think that Sawamura is going to replace Furuya in this inning.
Kataoka was worried about Furuya’s performance in the last chapter, and maybe he will let Sawamura switch places with Furuya in the seventh.
Also, Kataoka said he’ll take Furuya out on the first sign of trouble, so maybe Sawamura could enter when Carlos comes into the batter’s box.

5. Chapter 285 Recap
The chapter resumes at the bottom of the sixth as the battle between Mei and Furuya continues. Furuya’s throws start losing accuracy, but they’re still as strong as ever.
This doesn’t go unnoticed by Mei and Miyuki, and the latter signals him to lower the height of his pitches.
Mei hits the next ball to the left-field, but it’s well within Asou’s defense range. He catches and brings his team one out. Furuya emerges victorious in this clash, and the crowd cheers for his victory.
Miyuki asks for a timeout and asks Furuya if he is alright since he saw him straining. He tells him to throw low with enough power so the batters won’t be able to touch the ball. Furuya agrees, and Miyuki then encourages him to go at his own pace.
He reminds him about their regrets after the match with Senbatsu and says they must go to the Koushien stadium again to take what they didn’t last time. Furuya shares his sentiment, saying that they should go with their current team this time.
Miyuki is impressed, and he thinks back to Furuya’s performance throughout the season. He goes back to his catcher’s position, believing that Furuya can surpass his every expectation. Furuya takes his pitching stance while thinking about Miyuki’s competence.
He feels happy that he was able to play with someone who challenged him. As his attacks continue, he thinks about how he can express himself through baseball and how everything will be alright as long as his place in the team exists.
