Diamond no Ace Act II Chapter 267, titled “Two Pitchers’ Start,” was the latest chapter released for the manga.

Carlos manages to reach the third base, with the third batter being Saotome. Furuya stops Kamiya from getting to the home base, and Saotome gets out. Inajitsu’s next batter, Yamaoka, doesn’t perform well either, and both the teams reach a similar situation with a runner on third and two outs.

The next inning starts with Narumiya all warmed up. Seidou’s fifth batter is Furuya, who gets out. Will Seidou’s upcoming batter persevere through Narumiya’s bullet speed pitching and score any runs? We’ll find out in the next chapter.

It’s a shallow fly to the center field. From third, Carlos takes off for a run, but Toujou throws the ball back home, blocking Carlos.

Hence, Seidou gets two outs. Next in the batter’s box is Yamaoka Riku. Famous for sixty-eight home runs, Seidou’s battery, Furuya manages to keep him at bay.

His first ball is a swing and miss, and although he hits the second ball, Kuramochi cuts his batting short. It now has three outs for Seidou with no damage.

Both teams had a start with a runner on the third stranded on their spots. At the top of the second, Seidou’s attack starts with Maezono. Zono is out in no time too, so it’s one out for Seidou and no runners.

Finally, it’s time for a showdown between the pitchers, Furuya and Narumiya. The count is two-two, with Furuya being the fifth batter. Narumiya pitches, and Furuya is out due to a strikeout swinging. The last pitch to Furuya is an outside fastball.

It’s now two outs for Seidou. The chapter ends with Itsuki assessing Furuya’s improved pitch, saying that there’s something in him that the speed gun can’t measure.
