Demon Slayer Season 2 Arrives on Funimation and Crunchyroll this December

After the Flame Hashira, it’s the Wind Hashira’s time to shine as Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’s season 2 finally announces its release date.

After the tremendous success of the first season, another season was inevitable. Yet, fans have been waiting for its release for more than a year.

In case you have been dying to know about Tanjiro’s next adventure while you heal from Rengoku’s predicament, then you have come to the right place.

Demon Slayer’s season 2, the Entertainment District arc, will be released on December 5, 2021. The anime will premiere with a one-hour special episode. Both Funimation and Crunchyroll will be streaming the upcoming season.

The opening theme, “Zankyosanka,” and the ending theme, “Asa ga Kuru,” will be performed by Aimer. Miyuki Sawashiro, best known for voicing Hunter x Hunter’s Kurapika, is also joining the cast as Daki.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train arc is also receiving a seven-episode anime that will premiere in October. The release date of season 2 will follow the Mugen Train series.

Since the second season continues the plot right after the Mugen Train arc, the preceding anime’s decision will help fans brush up on everything that has conspired already.

In the upcoming season, Tanjiro and his team will accompany the Sound Hashira, Tengen. Their mission is to find some missing wives from a red light district where demon activity runs rampant.

Once again, we will see a race to reach the top spot of anime rankings. With two back-to-back series, Demon Slayer might as well have booked slots in the hearts of every otaku out there.

About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotoge. Its publication in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump began in February 2016 and ended in May 2020 with 23 collected tankōbon volumes.

In a world filled with demons and demon slayers, Kimetsu no Yaiba follows the lives of two siblings Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado after— the murder of their family at the hands of a demon. Their hardship does not end there, as Nezuko’s life is spared only for her to live as a demon.

As the oldest sibling, Tanjiro vows to protect and cure his sister. The story traces the bond of this brother-sister or better yet, demon slayer and demon combo against the odds of an arch antagonist and the society.
