Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Releases BluRay, DVD And Tons Of Limited Benefits In June

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, the film that has broken every single Japanese box office record, is now back with its DVD and BluRay release.

The Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu trio along with Nezuko and Rengoku have now become world-famous.

Recently, the film was also sent for Oscar nominations. Even though it didn’t get selected, it brought out COVID scared people out from their houses and has united anime lovers in Japan and all over the world.

Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, announced that its BluRay and DVD disks will be available in Japan starting 16th June. It will include both Japanese and English subtitles.

The staff is taking special care so that the disks have audio descriptions for those who are visually impaired.

2-channel audio and 5.1 channel audio are also employed in the BluRay and DVD sets.

Akira Matsushima, the character designer of the Demon Slayer anime, has illustrated exclusive jacket covers for the limited edition BluRay and DVD sets.

The limited-edition set will also contain audio commentary by the voice cast of Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Rengoku.

Demon Slayer goes an extra mile to make sure that its limited edition disks stand out. Let’s list the items that will be included in it:

  • Bonus CD of the stereo mix of Mugen Train’s soundtracks.
  • Video of the cast appearance at the TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills theatre.
  • Cast commemoration of film’s opening on Fuji TV
  • 10 rock-paper-scissors mini-games section
  • Several promotional videos and commercials
  • A booklet that will contain all the staff discussions and cast interviews.

That is not all, the franchise still has a lot more surprises up its sleeve. Theatres will distribute sticker sheets to movie-goers to mark the fifth month of the film’s screenings.

The sixth bonus will include two A6-sized cards with illustrations by ufotable. 

Demon Slayer has left a permanent mark on Japan’s box office and the tons of illustrations and merchandise are sure to please its fans.

About Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba

Created initially by Koyoharu Gotoge, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba first debuted in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2016.

It is a story revolving around the life of Tanjiro Kamado, whose family was slaughtered ruthlessly by Demons.

Sworn to take revenge and to get his sister, who is turning into a demon, cured, Tanjiro sets out. Into the demon-riddled world, to help others befalling the same fate he had just been through.
