Demon Slayer Manga Ends With 3 Surprise Couples and We Ship Them!

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba‘s manga released chapter 205 today. This chapter marks the end of Demon Slayer’s journey of more than four years.

As with all series, the final chapter included color pages and tied up many loose ends of the story, while at the same time, it left room for possible spin-offs.

The series ended on a happy note as all demons (except Yushiro) have been wiped from the face of the Earth. Chapter 205 confirms the reincarnation of several characters. Also, it confirms 3 couples — Tanjiro x Kanao, Zenitsu x Nezuko & Kanroji x Iguro.

After the Demon Slayers disbanded in the last chapter, the series underwent a huge skip in time from the Feudal era of Japan to modern-day Tokyo. We see the bloodline of many characters continuing, and several of the most recent members of the family tree are look-alikes of the older characters.

Tanjiro and Kanao’s descendants are shown to be — Kamado Sumihiko and Kamado Kanata. Sumihiko looks like a young Tanjiro without the scar. Kanata bears a strong resemblance to Kanao as their eyes are identical.

Zenitsu and Nezuko’s descendants are shown to be — Agatsuma Yoshiteru and Agatsuma Touko. Touko is an identical copy of Nezuko, except for her personality. While Nezuko was a sweet, caring, and humble person, Touko seems to be more outspoken and rude.

Yoshiteru, while not sharing Zenitsu’s looks, has the same personality as Zenitsu — soft and perverted.

Iguro and Kanroji’s reincarnations’ names are not revealed; however, we see them running a snake-themed restaurant that serves giant portions of food. The restaurant adopts both — Iguro’s love for snakes and Kanroji’s love for food.

The chapter wraps up the story very neatly and also shows the destiny of many major characters.
