The chapter starts with a color page showing Muzan’s body disintegrating after his millennia-long reign. After Muzan’s death, everyone starts wailing and crying in the happiness of finally having defeated Muzan. They quickly whip back into form and start tending to the wounds of the injured.

When they try to help Himejima, he refuses by saying that he is almost dead, and the precious medicine would be wasted on him. As his last request, he asks that they use those medicines to help the younger fighters. He then sees the ghosts of his students surrounding him.

They are taking him to the afterlife after telling him that they weren’t trying to run away; they would’ve told Himejima. However, they did not survive the night, so they could not.

We are then shown a loving scene between the dying Kaburamaru and Iguro. They make a deal that they will get married and keep each other safe if they are reborn as humans.

Shinazugawa is shown in a dark place where he meets his mother. He tries to take her to heaven; however, she is unable to as she has to go to hell to pay for her sins. He willingly gives up his entry to heaven and tries to accompany her there; however, he is stopped by his father, who tells him that his time hasn’t come yet. He then regains consciousness and sighs.

Inosuke and Zenitsu are shown to be their usual selves despite having sustained severe damage. Tomioka looks for Tanjiro and finds him sitting on the ground. He is informed that Tanjiro isn’t breathing and has no pulse. He apologizes to Tanjiro as he failed to protect him again. The chapter ends with Nezuko rushing to the scene.
