Charlie Cox may be celebrating his newest Netflix show, but he still remembers his other big Netflix role. The Daredevil actor even opened up about the upcoming MCU show, which will see the return of Matt Murdock after Netflix canceled the titular character’s show after season 3.
The actor spoke about how Murdock’s lawyer side will be the MCU show’s biggest area of focus. In an interview with GQ, Cox reiterated his gratitude for Marvel and their picking up Murdock for a new and fresh show. The actor also commented on how the upcoming series will focus on the courtroom scenes featuring the lawyer.

Because of the number of episodes they’ve committed to, there’ll be a heavy influence of courtroom stuff—Matt Murdock, the lawyer in the new show. So I’m heavily focused on researching that area of this character and his life. It was one of the areas we didn’t do a huge amount of exploration before.
We loved the nitty-gritty fight scene and Daredevil’s rise from a ravenous vigilante to a Hell’s Kitchen hero. But in the comics, Murdock put more guys behind bars using his courtroom skills rather than his fists, so it’ll be fun to see that aspect in Daredevil: Born Again.
Marvel Studios hiring Covert Affairs writers duo Matt Corman and Chris Ord definitely indicates they want some big trials going down, picking the elite and lowly villains of the city and pitting them against one of the brightest lawyers the MCU has to offer.
Daredevil: Born Again will land on Disney+ in 2024, and Murdock has teased that filming for the series will begin sometime in March 2023.

Plot details are unknown. Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onoforio will return to play Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in the Marvel show. The show will not be continuing the story from Netflix’s Daredevil.
