2. Recap of Episode 1 of Dandadan Season 2
We start with Momo at the hot springs, getting cornered by the creepy Kito men. She’s struggling to fight back when a statue out of nowhere knocks one of them out. Turns out Turbo Granny was hiding in her bag and jumps in to save the day.
Meanwhile, Okarun and Jiji are back at Jiji’s house, trying to figure out why it feels so off. That’s when a bunch of strange Kito women show up. They’re Jiji’s landlords, and things get tense fast, especially when one of them pulls a gun.
Momo heads off and learns about the legend of a snake god that’s supposed to protect the village in exchange for sacrifices. A local priest tells her it might all be made up to scare people, but Momo gets the feeling there’s more to it.
When she meets back up with the others, the Kito family ambushes them. Their leader says the three of them are the final “offerings,” and the house is actually a sacrificial altar. Suddenly, the ground collapses, and they all fall into a massive pit under the house.
Down there, things take a wild turn. They land in a cavern full of old houses, and sure enough, there’s a huge monster waiting for them – the Mongolian Deathworm. The Kitos are pumped and start doing a weird dance to keep from getting eaten. Momo tells them the creature isn’t a god, just a deadly beast, but they don’t listen. In the middle of all this, Okarun suddenly loses control and attacks Jiji, leaving us on a pretty intense cliffhanger.
3. Speculation of Episode 2 of Dandadan Season 2
Next episode will probably dive into what’s going on with Okarun. His powers going haywire is super suspicious, and it might have something to do with the Deathworm or whatever curse is tied to that house. We might also learn more about Jiji and why he seems weirdly okay during all this.
Turbo Granny might finally spill the beans on what this monster really is and how to stop it. Expect a big fight underground, maybe some hard truths coming out, and hopefully a plan to escape that cursed snake pit.

‘Dandadan’ is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yukinobu Tatsu. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Shōnen Jump+ service since April 2021. An anime television series adaptation produced by Science Saru is set to premiere in 2024.
Momo Ayase is a high school student who believes in ghosts, but her classmate Okarun believes in aliens instead. To determine who is correct, they make a bet and decide to visit locations associated with both the occult and the supernatural separately.
Ayase visits places related to ghosts, while Okarun visits sites about aliens. When they reach their respective areas, they discover they are only half-right. It turns out that both aliens and ghosts exist.
