Episode 7 was an absolute beauty as it showed a lot of character development and relationships. In addition to Luou’s opening up to a whole group of new friends, the pirouette competition had an unexpectedly wholesome result.
We should not forget about the other students in the ballet class, as they provide good challenges and opportunities for camaraderie for the Godai pair.
Ayako is undoubtedly related to Natsuki in some way, and her praise for Junpei’s pirouette will lead us somewhere after that preview. The way Luou gets his game on when cornered is hopefully a habit he can grow from, and I hope that this will be the foundation for the rest of the show.
Following up on our story moments, we return to our stunning backgrounds with balance practice under a starlit sky. Aside from that, DDD delivers with its superb cinematography in every ballet scene.
It’s fascinating how they convey the passion and admiration for the art, while simultaneously making the characters stand out as art in the bland walls of ballet studios.

Episode 8 Speculations
Episode 8 of Dance Dance Danseur will be titled “Oh, I Wanna Do It Again”. In this episode, we see that Junpei realizes that his performance is getting better significantly and his coordination is matching as well.
Additionally, he seems surprised and is trying very hard to not be left out of the fray. In the preview, a few flashbacks can be seen.
The new episodes will feature lots of adventures.

Episode 7 Recap
In the previous episode, Junpei is progressing well during ballet summer school. Refraining from being impulsive and following the practices, he has become more responsible.
The instructor is correcting him and provides him with constructive feedback. In the meantime, Luou is already one of the top three students in the class.
The other two are Misaki, the winner of a ballet competition in middle school, and Yamato, a basketball player who has switched to ballet.
A challenge is posed to the Godai duo when they learn that Junpei and Luou are not competing for the one scholarship prize to join the SS class at the Oikawa Ballet School since Kotobuki (the short and stout dancer whose family pays for him to study there) got into the class by being a son of a major sponsor.
The Godai duo must prove they are better in a dance-off to claim the scholarship prize. In his pirouettes, Junpei shows the new restraint, and Luou outdances them all with a performance that is regarded as something no student of SS could yet accomplish.
As Luou’s performance was greatly admired, it served as an icebreaker between the boys. The fourth member of the quartet is introduced during the dance-off.
Misaki has his eye set on the scholarship prize and considers Luou to be his biggest competitor, even though, unbeknownst to him, Luou is not interested and is looking farther ahead.
Luou’s grandmother forced him to practice ballet before the episode’s end, showing more short flashes of his past.
It seems his grandmother was a top ballet dancer in the past. In addition, we have confirmation that the foreign blood in Luou is Russian. As Misaki searches online and reads about Luou’s mother on his smartphone, we discover he is speaking Russian during the dance-off.
The animation is not just limited to the classroom (thank you, MAPPA, for keeping the quality high). Furthermore, Kotobuki invited Junpei and Luou to this Romeo and Juliet performance at the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in Ueno Park, Ueno, Tokyo, which they attended with their best seats.
Junpei and Luou were both enraptured by the performance led by a former Mariinsky Ballet principal dancer, so they both stood up during the performance, breaking the decorum, and Luou shouted, “Bravo!”, in appreciation. It is unlikely that Luou and Junpei are aware of how much they have in common.
