CDPR says Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty can Unlock Different Ending

Cyberpunk 2077 recently announced their Phantom Liberty DLC which is scheduled to launch on September 26th. The game still has lots of content to offer and fans are beyond excited for what’s in store. It looks like the upcoming expansion will put a new twist to the base game.

In a recent interview, game director and VP Gabe Amatangelo revealed that the Phantom Liberty DLC will take on different endings, depending on the choices made in the game. It is highly possible to unlock a new ending in the main game.

The ending itself wasn’t discussed in the interview but it looks like Night City will not be forgotten entirely. Phantom Liberty will bring new updates to the base game so even those who don’t purchase the DLC can have something to enjoy. Players can get some of the features from the expansion but not the new story or characters.

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty will see the return of Keanu Reeves as Johnny Silverhand and Idris Elba as Solomon Reed. It will be interesting to see these popular characters carry forward the story.

CD Projekt Red will introduce a major Cyberware system update with Phantom Liberty. It will allow players to see how much Cyberware their body can take. This feature will be a fun challenge between balance and risk.

Although Cyberpunk 2077 did not exactly receive the warm welcome it had expected at launch, fans are finally beginning to settle in with the game. The Phantom Liberty DLC will be a good way to capitalize on that.

About Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 is a 2020 action role-playing video game developed by CD Projekt Red and published by CD Projekt, based on video game designer Mike Pondsmith’s game series.

Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, the player assumes the role of “V,” a mercenary in the fictional Californian city known as “Night City,” where they deal with the fallout from a heist gone wrong that results in an experimental cybernetic “bio-chip” containing an engram of the legendary rock star and terrorist Johnny Silverhand (played by Keanu Reeves) threatening to slowly overwrite V’s mind; as the story progresses V and Johnny must work together to find a way to be separated and save V’s life.
