The musical boy-love anime Given came out in 2019 but still makes our hearts flutter every time we watch it.
Playing along the themes of love and music while also touching on topics like mental health, this anime became popular among yaoi lovers in no time. Considering how well it did in 2019, it’s weird how we never got a dubbed version of it.
Crunchyroll has finally taken up the responsibility of giving fans an English-dubbed version of the popular 2019 anime, Given.
English-dubbed versions of all the 11 episodes of the anime are available on Crunchyroll starting today.
The plot follows the musical love story of Mafuyu Sato and Ritsuka Uenoyama. These high schoolers have a chance encounter on the staircase where Ritsuka plays his guitar, and Mafuyu asks him to be his teacher.
One thing leads to another, and Ritsuka invites Mafuyu into his band as the lead singer. Soon, the two start dating after getting past Mafuyu’s trauma when his ex-boyfriend Yuki committed suicide.
The pair is able to bring out the best in each other, making their band Given a huge success.

Besides Ritsuka and Mafuyu, the story also focuses on the relationship between Given’s bassist Haruki Nakayama and drummer Akihiko Kaji. Although they’re not the main couple, their story is still one of the most wholesome and cute ones you’ll ever see.
