In these dark times when people need to support each other, the pandemic is driving everyone apart.

The rate at which the vaccine is being distributed is not enough to save the upcoming events.

Some other conventions have already been canceled or are in a dilemma. We can only hope that the situation gets better by the end of this year.

The official Twitter account of Anime Central Convention has announced that their 2021 event has been canceled.

The event was initially scheduled for 21st March 2021 however the Coronavirus pandemic has forced it to shut down.

The organizers of the event have shown gratitude to everyone who had been involved with the event. The event will be held directly from 20-22 May 2022.

It was also reported that the current speed of vaccine distribution in America has not yet reached a sufficient level.

Holding a huge public event during this time will pose a health risk to the lives of the attendees as well as the organizers.

The anime convention, which was supposed to be held in 2020, was also canceled, and the restlessness amongst fans is understandable. Registrations of 2020 and 2021 events have been moved over to the future 2022 convention.

Anime Central Convention 2021 was supposed to host Riho Lida, Rie Tanaka.

The novelist of Didn’t I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!, FUNA, illustrator, Itsuki Akata, and the famous rock band OLDCODEX were also supposed to attend the convention.

Those who want a refund for their registrations are asked to submit a request within 15th March. Hotel registrations that have been made at the convention’s room blocks will be automatically canceled.

“Cancellation is not an easy thing to deal with,” states the organizing committee, and that is understandable in regards to the current situation.

You may not have been able to meet like-minded people and discuss your interests this year, but let’s look forward to next year’s event.
