Episode 2 Recap
To help the Reijseger Kingdom, Tsuyoshi Mukoda and three others are called to another reality. In contrast to the others, Tsuyoshi has only the Online Grocery skill, which enables him to use gold to summon food and online goods from Japan.
Tsuyoshi persuades the Reijseger royals that Tsuyoshi can’t be trusted and that his skill is useless, accepting money in exchange for his stealthy disappearance.
Tsuyoshi leaves Reijseger after discovering the royals are despotic and employs Werner and his Iron Will mercenaries to accompany him to the nearby Veenen Kingdom. Tsuyoshi prepares meals on a contemporary camp stove and gives them food using his culinary expertise. They are impressed with his food and start to love his company.
When Tsuyoshi learns that Japanese ingredients that he added in his Pot-Au-Feu and bread enhance health and magic, he vows to solely use foraged ingredients out of fear that others will know his secret and exploit him.
One evening, the mythical wolf monster Fenrir, attracted by Tsuyoshi’s cooking, requests to sample it. He repeatedly asks Tsuyoshi to make seconds for him.
Fenrir is so impressed that he insists on becoming Tsuyoshi’s hired familiar in return for three meals daily. When Tsuyoshi figures out how much it will cost to feed Fenrir, he realizes how desperately he needs a job.

“Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill” is a light novel series by Ren Eguchi. Initially published on Shosetsuka ni Naro in January 2016, Overlap acquired it and has been publishing it since November 2016, with illustrations by Masa.
Tsuyoshi Mukoda gets transported to another world where he is supposed to save the kingdom. However, his only skill is “Online Grocery” which allows him to bring food items from modern Japan. Initially disappointed, Tsuyoshi’s skill rewards him in ways he did not expect.
