Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection brought together the best characters of the Code Geass franchise for two hours of action-packed fun!
Some very satisfying mecha battles have been coupled with intense character developments and plot twists. The franchise has branched off into anime, manga, movies, and other media as well.
The film was one among the highest-earning films in Japan when it debuted, and now it will be back in an all-new form.
The official website of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection had previously announced that the anime film will receive a 4D premiere on 29th January. It will receive 4DX and MX4D screenings in 82 theatres in Japan.
Theatergoers will be handed cards for the upcoming screenings. The MX4D theatres will hand out postcards that feature Lelouch and C.C. 4DX screenings will distribute a postcard that features Lelouch and Suzaku.
Yuriko Chiba, the main animator of the movie, illustrated the postcards. The film originally premiered in Japan in February 2019, and Funimation screened it in North America for a limited time-period in May 2019.
The film is supposed to be the first phase for a ten-year plan of the Code Geass franchise. A new anime series titled Code Geass: Z of the Recapture, and a new smartphone game called Code Geass: Genesic Re; CODE will also be released.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection was at the #5 film spot when it debuted. It had earned more than $9 million by March 2019 in Japan.
Code Geass is known for its mind-blowing mecha battles. I can only imagine how awesome it would look with a 4D version release!
