Code Geass Franchise Teases A New Project In December 2020

Code Geass is arguably one of the best anime ever made. Even after 14 years of its release, fans are fawning over it and waiting for a new season.

The anime is a mixture of psychological aspects with some dazzling visuals and mecha robots’ action.

The philosophy and the references in each episode made us fall in love with the anime. The franchise made its return last year with Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection film.

The official Twitter account for the Code Geass franchise stated that the details of a new Code Geass project will be announced on December 5.

The delivery of “Code Geass New Project Presentation” has been decided. Please visit us on YouTube Live from 8 pm on Saturday, December 5, 2020 All the announcements will be made through the YouTube Live session from 8 pm (JST) onwards on the project presentation day, so be sure to plan your schedule accordingly.

Although there are no major details for the tease just yet, fans are expecting this project to be part of the grand ten-year plan for the franchise.

Code Geass: Lelouch of the Re;surrection film, the franchise’s last work, hit 120 theatres in Japan in February 2019.

Kojiro Taniguchi, the general producer of the Code Geass franchise, revealed that the film was only the first phase of the grand ten-year plan for the franchise.

The original anime was released in 2006, followed by a sequel in 2008. The anime also received a spinoff series in 2012.
