Chris Rock Has A Breakthrough COVID Case, Says “Get Vaccinated”

Famous comedian and actor Chris Rock tested COVID-19 positive on Sunday. He shared the news through his official Twitter and urged fans to get vaccinated.

Chris Rock has been using his stature and power to defend the vaccine from the erroneous misinformation flowing around social media almost every other day.

On September 19, Rock uploaded a tweet saying, “Hey guys, I just found out I have COVID, trust me you don’t want this. Get vaccinated.”

While he gave no update on his conditions, whether he is asymptomatic or has mild symptoms or anything of that sort, the award-winning star assured fans that they “don’t want this,” implying the dangerous effects of the virus.

Rock had previously mentioned taking the vaccine, the Johnson & Johnson, on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon in May. He joked about using his celebrity power and skipping the line to get it.

In January, on the Sunday Morning show, he talked about the vaccine’s way of working and why he wouldn’t hesitate to take it.

I’m gonna put it this way. Do I take Tylenol when I get a headache? Yes. Do I know what’s in Tylenol? I don’t know what’s in Tylenol, Gayle. I just know my headache’s gone. Do I know what’s in a Big Mac, Gayle? No. I just know it’s delicious.

Larry Charles, the producer and writer of Seinfield replied, saying his vaccine analogies on his previous interviews were brilliant and ended it with, “Please have a swift and mild case and a full recovery. Hurry, we need you..”

Fellow comedian George Wallace also dropped in, praising Rock’s journey of helping people laugh and praying for things to get better for him.

The case of people contracting the virus after getting the vaccine is termed as a breakthrough case. However, this gives anti-vaxxers a chance to spread their agenda more.

But, a study published by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that unvaccinated people are 11 times more likely to die of COVID and ten times more likely to be hospitalized.

While Rock’s breakthrough case has opened up a heated debate in the reply section, there are also many defending him – implying that taking the vaccine lessens the effects of the virus.

Meanwhile, the former Saturday Night Live comedian has multiple projects lined up for him. Here’s hoping for better and quick recovery for him.
