The End of Will & Natalie? Torrey DeVitto Reveals Their Fate After S8 Finale

Fans of Will and Natalie’s romance on Chicago Med were overjoyed when the two doctors got back together in the season 8 finale of the medical drama. 

However, their happiness may be short-lived, as actor Torrey DeVitto drops a bombshell about the couple’s future.

DeVitto, who spoke with Entertainment Tonight, thanked her co-star Nick Gehlfuss for making her return in the finale. She also admitted that it was a bittersweet moment, as it could be the last time viewers see Will and Natalie in One Chicago. What a bombshell!

So satisfying! I loved that they ended up together. I was always rooting for them. Right now, I think it is the last time you will see them together, but I guess in the land of Dick Wolf, ya never know…

Emotions peaked when One Chicago fans bid adieu to Natalie and Will, but their real-life counterparts, DeVitto and Gehlfuss, left the show without much melodrama. 

They both felt it was time to explore new opportunities after being part of the medical drama from the start. This means that they might be open to return for guest appearances in the future.

However, that might be too far-fetched, as bringing back Natalie and Will to Chicago won’t be easy. They both left under complicated circumstances, and they might not be welcome at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center unless a major crisis requires their skills. 

So DeVitto’s remark could be true, and this might be the last time we see the pair in One Chicago. 

Chicago Med has seen many of its star characters say goodbye in recent times. Will’s departure was followed by the Halstead brothers’ resignation and Jay’s exit from Chicago PD.

Meanwhile, Chicago Fire is also feeling the heat as Matt Casey packs his bags, and Kelly Severide might be next. The Chicago franchise is no stranger to exits, but these are some of the biggest losses yet. 

Hopefully, they will be able to introduce new characters and make them iconic in their own way!
