Chainsaw Man has been all over the internet ever since it began broadcasting in October. It is impossible not to get addicted to this series; the credit for this goes to the engaging plot and the beautifully written characters.
Out of everyone in the show, our focus is always on the chaotic trinity: Denji, Power, and Aki. They’re similar to any other protagonist trio, making them the favorite and comfort characters of many fans.
However, we’ll not see them for a while now as the Chainsaw Man season 1 is heading towards its climax soon. To create some hype, the franchise will be streaming seven character videos from December 20, every day until the final episode.
The first video released today is of none other than Aki Hayakawa, who has made everyone swoon over him in no time.
It begins with the scene where Aki beats Denji up, and those who don’t take this work seriously will die. While this scene sets a fearsome image of Aki’s character, the following few clips show that he’s a calm-headed guy with a pretty standard routine.
Soon after, the video digs into Aki’s horrific past when the Gun Devil destroyed his house and killed his entire family. This resulted in Aki becoming a Public Safety Devil Hunter to hunt down the one who slaughtered his brother and parents.
Aki has a deep hatred for devils, so he initially didn’t want to work with Power and Denji. His views on both of them change throughout the show as the three take on missions, and Denji proves that not all devils are the same.
In recent episodes, it can be seen that Aki has become slightly attached to Power and Denji, leading to him even caring about them. Besides being a friend, he is also an elder brother/caretaker to these two unpredictable and messy devils.
Being crucial to the plot, Aki has become a well-known and beloved character. Aki’s powers and personality can instantly make you fall in love with him, as many have already.
Season 1 will end on December 28, making it the perfect end to 2022 as well. I can’t wait to see the kind of cliffhanger they leave us on.

Chainsaw Man is a manga series by Tatsuki Fujimoto that was serialized from December 2018-2020 and returned in July 2022 with a second part. The series also received an anime series by MAPPA.
The manga’s plot revolves around Denji, an orphaned boy who has to work as a devil hunter to make a living and pay off his father’s debt.
However, his pet devil, Pochita is killed on a mission. Denji wakes up to realize he and Pochita have become a single being, Chainsaw Man. If he does not want to get killed, he has to join the government and continue hunting demons.
