Momonosuke uncharacteristically stops her and claims they need to learn to protect Wano without the Straw Hats. Is it just me who is getting a motherly feeling by seeing him mature so quickly?

According to the dragon, Yamato, Luffy, Zoro, and the others have already done enough for Wano. Momo realizes that he can’t possibly be a good shogun if he keeps needing help from brief visitors.

After his emotional monologue, Momonosuke promptly directs Bolo Breath towards Ryokugyu. Yamato marvels at Momonosuke’s mastery of his powers and form.

The dragon’s Bolo Breath was strong enough to burn away the Admiral’s tree body. Bolo Breath is one of Kaidou’s abilities that he received after consuming the Uo Uo no Mi. Momonosuke had consumed a man-made imitation of the same fruit.

The fruit Momo ate is often considered a failure, but he had eaten it recently and is still getting used to his dragon form. The Bolo Breath power suggests that he might be able to receive all the other powers of Kaido as well.

If he does receive all of Kaidou’s powers and learns to control them, Wano will have a strong protector. If Ryokugyu considers Kaido’s dethroning to be a danger to Wano’s security, then Momo and his powers might just fill up the gap.
